Around a hundred people ambushed a train near the city of Villa Gobernador Gálvez in Santa Fe and stole part of the soybean cargo heading to Rosario. The group operated by cutting the brake system and managed to empty the cargo of 16 of the 68 wagons that made up the train.
According to initial estimates, the criminals managed to take away about a thousand tons of soybeans. The company Ferroexpreso Pampeano filed the corresponding complaint with the authorities. This type of attack is common in the area, according to company representatives, causing significant economic losses.
The ambushed train was heading to Rosario, located about ten kilometers from Villa Gobernador Gálvez, and other nearby towns. Despite the fact that those responsible for the robbery were recorded in videos taken by the workers' cell phones, the Santa Fe police have not yet managed to arrest any of them.
It is important to note that in the face of these insecurity situations, local authorities and transportation companies must work together to ensure the security of cargo and prevent such thefts that affect not only companies but also the economy in general.
